An outfit inspired by one of the current Fall trends : the sixties. Not acidulous, psychedelic sixties with short dresses (even if I love them too…) but chic middle-class sixties. Pencil skirts, ascot blouses, that give you such a nice figure when paired with high heels. As you may have guessed, I have been re-watching the Mad Men series !
I find pencil skirts a bit difficult to wear, especially if the fabric is thin or if the cut is tight. In those days women used to wear a girdle underneath to have a perfect figure. But I don’t like wearing really tight-fitting clothes. This is why I love this frilly skirt, it looks just made for me.
Women also used to wear tights. In fact they never went out with bare legs. Shocking The blouses were ironed to perfection, the hair styled with sophisticated curls. But hey, we are in 2011… So goodbye tights, the weather was so nice on monday ! I like the ascot knot best when it is a bit messy, and the hair in the wind, long and free, to not look too fussy. A metal cuff to achieve the look, and my favorite Miu Miu heels…
But speaking of my hair, they have always been the way they are : natural, long and free. Maybe I should change my hairstyle. I don’t know how exactly, all I know is I don’t want a fringe… (doesn’t suit my face !). What do you think? How is your hair styled, or how would you like it to be?
